I just really don’t like politics, but when blatant infringements on common sense and civility abound, I am obliged to comment. These are personal thoughts, nothing else.

Innocent until proven guilty: True until proven false

Innocent until proven guilty: True until proven false: The presumption of innocence I guess Trump has turned into the presumption of truth – whether or not his facts are checkable, or whether it is a flit of his imagination. This poses problems for most individuals, because the amount of work required to “undo” one of Trumps accusations is enormous, and who has the time to Snope, FactCheck, JustTheTruth what he tweets or states. The first premise ‘innocent until proven guilty’ is brilliant, saves lives, though does let a few criminals go, but protects us against a State where we are all in jeopardy.  However, living by the second premise requires that everyone be as honest as possible, out of their own moral goodness, and of course we all know that is not happening in this epoch.  So when Trump (given here as an example and which has been seen on numerous occasions, and for whom truth seems a distant non-reality) says something in a tweet (which is a fart…. see previous post about tweets ) we have to go through countless steps, spend countless dollars, waste countless amounts of committee time, and get nothing in return except the gratification that he was delusional.  It is going to occupy so much time in the next four years, and cost so much of our own money that ultimately we must decide whether we need to just send him off to go tweet his alternative facts or make him hoe a straight row. We will all be the poorer, in so many ways because of his lack of frontal lobe discretions.

A “tweet” is like a fart

Think about it. Tweeting is not really communicating it is just letting off steam. It has no immediate value, has no on-the-spot response from a foe, or friend, or other individual, it is meant for no-one, and everyone.  It is a dumb idea.  That doesn’t mean it isn’t popular, it just means that a lot of people like dumb things.

Trump tweets a lot because he eats a lot of food which cause gas apparently.

“We are all much happier” said no one with a brain

I makes me wonder about someone’s mental capacity when they stand on a platform and say that economic uptic is their doing after 30 days in office. Worse yet to ascribe to everyone a “very much more positive outlook”…. that is not what i hear, nor see, nor feel.

AND…  for one who has been the ringleader in uprisings against other nations, races, religions,  one wonders why he says things like “We’ve got to keep our country safe,” Trump told the crowd. “You look at what’s happening in Germany. You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden! Who would believe this?”  when he has initiated protests, riots, incidents right here in the US.   His anger is part of the new MOB-AMERICAN

Who does this?

Only unamerican, self loathing, highly insecure, self righteous persons with low functioning frontal lobes, tweet out their anger to 34 million (and counting) people in all caps.   “SEE YOU IN COURT”  Truly the act of a undisciplined 2 year old mind.

Saving grace and justice: there will be thousands of nonsensical tweets documented for all eternity to laugh at. Hopefully we will recover from this style of governing.

Finding an alternative to alternative facts

From my son:

you’re using a term coined by the corporate media.  “alternative facts”
is an oxymoron. it’s like “conspiracy theory,” a term invented by
propagandists to discredit the rising alternative media… and by
alternative media, i just mean actual journalists who do research and
cite sources.  the corporate media doesn’t do journalism any more.

i love how their whole “fake news” meme backfired because everyone knows
the corporate media is the real fake news- and their falling numbers
reflect that.

the first step to not being brainwashed is to completely stop consuming
corporate media cnn, msn, abc, fox, cbs, disney, npr etc. all garbage, now
owned by just 6 companies (except npr of course which is foundation and
government funded, also lies).

no platform is perfect but if you use a variety of alternative sources
you will be much more informed.

below is a list of organizations who are replacing the dying corporate
dinosaur media. no single one of them is perfect of course, but they are
actually trying to do journalism instead of misinform and deceive.

“from me — I did find a website that i liked best of all…. justfacts.com… it gets point… no obscenities, violent speech, calls to riot, just lots and lots of graphs that show me trends and data. awesome”

jonrappoport.wordpress.com
infowars.com (questionable lately but in the past has done good work)
breitbart.com
wearechange.org
zerohedge.com
ae911truth.org
markdice.com
whatreallyhappened.com
therebel.media
ronpaullibertyreport.com
naturalnews.com
oathkeepers.org
thefreethoughtproject.com
michaeltsarion.com

social media platforms devoted to free speech:

gab.ai
voat.co
steemit.com

do not underestimate the value of this list.  there are a lot of posers
out there pretending to be alternative media to keep you from finding
the good stuff.  i’ve already sifted through the giant pile of crap as
best i can and this is the short list of the real stuff- those who have
a proven track record of accurate reporting and citing sources.

Todays new revelation: Trump vs asbestos

QUOTING FROM the UC E-Health News today,we find Trump defending himself as a landowner against the science that proves asbestos is dangerous.

More in a series of very very serious evidence that this man makes his own reality.

Federal health agencies have mostly ignored the well-documented risk from asbestos-containing products for years, regardless who sat in the Oval Office.

Trump has often said that the danger of asbestos is overblown. Aside from his pro-business, anti-environment cabinet appointments, the 45th president brought with him a well-documented history of defending asbestos as safe.

Testifying as a New York landlord and developer, Trump touted the safety of the “miracle fiber” to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee
2005.

He hammered home his belief in numerous speeches, tweets, and in his 1997 book “The Art of Making a Comeback.”

“I believe that the movement against asbestos was led by the mob, because it was often mob-related companies that would do the asbestos removal,” Trump wrote in that book. “Great pressure was put on politicians, and as usual, the politicians relented. Millions of truckloads of this incredible fire-proofing material were taken to special ‘dump sites’ and asbestos was replaced by materials that were supposedly safe but couldn’t hold a candle to asbestos in limiting the ravages of fire.”

However, the Centers for Disease Control and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration insist that there is no safe level of exposure to any asbestos fiber.

Expressing concern about Trump’s defense of asbestos and the disdain his nominee to head the EPA has for the agency’s laws, Monforton said it was irresponsible for EPA to not issue a warning before the change of administration.

SO MY TAKE ON THIS… is far deeper than the comment by Trump in bold above… it speaks to the values of this man.  That people get asbestosis, mesothelioma, and other respiratory diseases from this material had NO MENTION in the rant, rather it was about “waste” and “conspiracy” and “property”   — this is a sad commentary.

Secondly, and at least as sad, apparently when this man doesn’t understand the science behind the decisions he just blurts out nonsense, mainly an attempt at creating a smoke screen for his ignorance.  Many of the most awesome scientists I have ever met are fully comfortable with not knowing “everything”, it is honest and truthful, but I have also met those who will pull this same kind of smoke screen to cover their ignorance.  How frustrating for people who want to know the real facts… to be fed “alternative facts”
