This virtual run required some real dedication….. two years is a long time to wait for a “finish”  LOL.  The staff here is really awesome, and I enjoyed their login screens and badges.  I recommend it even for individuals like myself who are pretty well advanced in years, and can run at their own pace and on their own schedule.

P.S. I was thinking about signing up for the “great wall of china virtual run”  LOL

Amerithon Challenge: 998.1 miles left. Yippie.

Still moving on in this personal fitness challenge. Getting close to the three quarters done mark.  It takes time and persistence for sure to do this silly thing.  I guess it is making me fit, i know sometimes it makes me wonder why???  LOL i am doing it.

Still at it, not quite half way after one year, but close.

Still going, after a couple minor injuries… LOL,  there was one day where i eeked out just 0.2 miles, limping and groaning.  But moving right along, getting close to half way across the USA getting near Cantaloupe Colorado, Rocky Ford region in the southeastern portion of the state.

Long way to go to the east coast, not even half way there.

wow…. getting hard to keep this up…. but still running at my own pace this Amerithon challenge.  I promised NOT to wear the tee shirt until i get to half way…. so a long way to go yet.  Be advised, i do not RUN fast, i jog, and sometimes there are hills but nothing like i would actually have encountered in this cross country terrain. But it does motivate me.

319 miles completed. Not quite 10%, so two years + to go, just now leaving my home state of california. I enjoyed seeing places i have visited in real life, and been skiing and to which i have driven.  I also laugh when i see the terrain and know full well that i would still be struggling on the mountains, but i am really running (virtually) on much flatter, easier ground. December 1 2020, Just passed the last of the Mohave desert and heading toward Los Vegas (virtually) and a map of miles completed 470.

December 23, 2020 573 miles completed. Right here in Los Vegas (virtually). It might be kind of fun to run in and put 5.73 in the penny slots just to see if “i win”.
